Hot Tuesday

I watered this morning; but when I got home from work, things were still drooping. However, there was a lot of activity in the yard. This first picture is of a bloom on the passionflower that Gail promises me is hardy. A japanese beetle was having his fill. You can see where he's chomped off some of the petals. Guess they were tasty. And I would love to tell you that I killed him dead, but he got away.

The butterflies in the back yard don't really like it when I try to take their pictures. These two are mating (I guess that's what they're doing) and they headed for a higher branch in a nearby tree to get away from me.
