Today's Vase

Here are some of the flowers that are still holding on. The dahlia's look pretty good right now. The pink flower in the lower left is one of the New Zealand delphiniums. Those are definitely something to sow again. Hopefully they'll be hardy and these plants will come back next year. But even if they don't, I'll start some as annuals. For the most part, the yard has been looking pretty sad. We haven't had rain in at least three weeks and lots of things are burning up. I am still carrying water, but it's getting old and some of the annuals have been pitched. At this moment, the wind is blowing and I can smell the rain!
