Stepping Stone

I've been looking for color out there, and this is the best thing going at the moment. Tami gave me this little stepping stone several years ago. I think it came from Wild Birds Unlimited, and it has held up beautifully. Today I'm going to search the catalogs for Eden and Royal Bonica roses, for Tropicanna canna, and for some dahlia tubers.

Planning

I've been thinking about what to plant in containers this spring. V did this one last year.

Isaac's Sunrise Photograph

Isaac sent this to me today. Isn't it gorgeous? I think this is one he took when he went out west last summer.

From My Sis

PJ sent these to me for Christmas. I love the vases. The one on the left is made from old silverware. The therapy jar makes me smile, and of course, I'm always in need of more therapy. . .and smiles!

Inspiration

I'm up in the middle of the night, but this time it's not so bad because we have a three-day weekend! Plenty of time to catch up on sleep and to look for things to photograph. In the meantime, check out judithpolakoff.us. Her pictures are just beautiful.

Withdrawal

I'm having serious flower-arranging withdrawal. Guess I'll have to go buy some flowers. Those grocery store flowers just aren't quite the same. Sigh. . . However, it is going to be 51 degrees today. I'm going to take Kelly for a walk in a little bit, start reading a new book, and watch Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy tonight. So all in all, a pretty good Sunday.

Is It Spring Yet?

Isn't she cute? PJ sent her to live with us. You can see me in the reflecting ball. I haven't been posting much. Too much grayness these days. Although the sun did shine today, which was wonderful.

Feels Like Spring!

It's beautiful out there this morning. I had my morning coffee while Kelly and I made the rounds. It's supposed to be in the 40s for a few more days. If you look past the birdbath, you can see the creeping charlie, which is laughing at the winter weather, growing more and more roots and spreading throughout the land.
