This would have been Tommy's 54th birthday. He loved going over to Southern Illinois and racing through those hills--the muddier the better. And somehow, this vase wound up in our high school colors--black and gold. It wasn't intentional, but once they came together it seemed like a good fit with the day. 
I am a friend of your Mohers. I talked to her Saturday and told her how much I enjoy your blog and that I had given your address to my sister-in-law who lives in Memphis and she also checks your blog and enjoys it very much. Keep up the good work. Vangie Hunter
