Friday Theory

It's been a very slow flower week. And in fact, my goal for this weekend is to throw out all the spent flowers in the house. I think keeping flowers too long is why people say "Why buy flowers? They just die." When we keep them too long, we're in denial. Yes, they were beautiful; but when they are drooping, smelling, shedding--they've lived their life and they need to go!! As Susie says, get rid of the old and make room for the new.

From Last Fall

I've been planning thanksgiving centerpieces. Here's one from last year.

Vases

This first one has gerbers, snaps, hybiscus foliage, and pom poms--all in shades of deep red and maroon. The second vase is just five stems of snaps. Love those.

From Last Week's Class

I like this one and I'll try it again. Love the painted curly willow and using the blossoms on the stems and the vase. And they still look pretty good now six days later!
