Nest on a Bybee

I found this Bybee honey pot from my collecting days. I've always loved it, but it holds a LOT of honey. So now it holds a little nest.

Look Who Came to Visit!

We were expecting Rachel and Betsy, and then we had Judson too! So good to see him. His puppies were glad to see him too.

Cutting For Stone

Just finished Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. It has a five-star rating on Amazon, and I have to agree with all those people who submitted reviews. It was a little hard to get into at first, but then it just took off and was a really really lovely story.

Memorial Day

I need to practice making casket sprays, so here's one for Memorial Day. This is only the third one I've made. It needs twice as many flowers, but I think the greenery and the accent flowers turned out well. Kind of a gardeny feel to it. I love how it looks on Mammy's sewing machine.

Final

This was the wreath I made for my final last night. I hung it on my office door. Made me happy every time I went thru the door today!

Friday Iris

Iris season is later this year. All this cool spring weather means we get to enjoy them longer. I always love late varieties.

Saturday Moon

Did you know that full moons have names? Me neither, until I noticed today's date on the cute Susan Branch calendar that PJ gave me. May's full moon is the Flower Moon and June's full moon is the Strawberry Moon. Now we know :-)

Thursday Violet

I spend a lot of time trying to get rid of all those violets. They take over everything. But just one can be sweet.

Doublefile Viburnum

PJ gave this shrub to me for my birthday four years ago via a Wayside gift certificate. It will get up to ten feet tall and wide. Gorgeous!
