We're supposed to get a little snow for the New Year. And some really cold temps too. G Dog won't mind!

Christmas Jigsaw
Mark and I needed all the help we could get for this 1000-piece puzzle. Mama and V worked on it, Isaac spent quite a bit of time on it, and even a Ben and Ryan helped one night. It's finally done and we didn't lose one piece! We have two more puzzles waiting to be worked; but for right now, we'll just enjoy the view.

Still Going
We're having some warmer weather and it's so nice to get out in the yard again. There are a few things still going despite the ice and snow we've had lately. The epimedium and hellebores are beautiful shades of green.

December at The Farm
The Farm is closing for the season today, but mama and V and I were able to go yesterday. It was just beautiful. I loved the dried flower trees. And as usual, we stopped at the MorningStar Tea Room for lunch and had great food! Each of the tables had a little landscape of Christmas decorations. Now I'm looking forward to April when The Farm has all their great annual seedlings that you can't get anywhere else!

Home
Lori gave me these letters last year when they came to visit. They're from a place called The Copper Ewe. I just love them.

From Granddaddy's Filling Station
This is one of my family heirlooms. Granddaddy had a filling station and he used to let me "read the pumps" at closing time. That meant taking a pencil and paper out to the pumps and writing down the numbers--I'm sure it had something to do with tracking how many gallons of gas he had sold for the day. Wish I had one of those old pumps--it'd be out in the flower garden for sure. But anyway, I'm sure glad I have his thermometer on my porch.

Flowers!
I haven't been posting lately because there have been no flowers in this house. None! But I fixed that yesterday. There's a new supply of flowers and lots of evergreen just waiting. And speaking of waiting. . . When I opened my mailbox this morning, this lily from WaySide Gardens appeared. I was ready to buy. Where's that credit card? But, it's not for sale yet. Sigh. Okay, back to the holiday arrangments.

December Sunday
Granddaddy's thermometer says it's 54 degrees and it's just beautiful out today. This wreath was the class assignment yesterday.
