More from July 2020

The front flowerpot, full of petunias and a mandevilla.  Lots of people have commented about how pretty it is.  We're late July now, so that means watering the containers everyday, feeding a couple times a week. I don't usually mind, it gives me something productive to do while I'm thinking about the virus and the economy and how school is ever going to happen this year.
Mark and Skye fishing.  This was a big catfish!
The best thing that has happened lately has been getting to visit with Betsy and Kyle again!
Our days get brightened when new pictures of Oceanna come through.  She has her daddy's blue eyes!
Jeff and PJ opened mama's pond and sent this sweet picture of her.  Her dress matches the ageratum :)

July 2020

I can't remember the last time we went to see fireworks on the 4th but we went out this year and it was beautiful.  CNN had a big drone!  We were sitting out in the distance on the left.
My pictures not nearly as good as CNN's!  The full moon was amazing.
That cute little Oceanna!
and my garden piggy collection, all from my sister :)

Lifting the Quarantine

We've been able to see Betsy and Kyle and Rachel again!  We have missed them so much.  This virus is still with us, but things are opening back up and the very best thing is getting to see the kids.  We wish Oceanna and Isaac and Jen were closer, we'd be visiting them too!

Teeth!

They all look so happy!  We're blessed and thankful that we're all healthy and have been able to ride out the virus without being infected so far.  And I got to go see mama for her 85th birthday too!  We had already missed one planned visit due to the virus precautions, so it was extra special to be able to visit.  We had a great time.

Happy 85th!
Mama reading in PJ's back yard.  I love her tri-colored beech tree, it looks like it's in bloom all the time.

and PJ helping

Wearing the mask is not very fun, but mama has made some really cute ones and if they help us get out in the world again, we're all for the masks.
Another scene from our stay-at-home days.  Zoom meetings!
It's not easy to get Kyle to smile for a picture!  I love this one of he and Rachel.

More from May

The lilacs at the pond were so pretty!  We're doing a renovation of that flower bed.
New chairs
Oceanna at play
I went out to cut peonies for a vase and Skye started helping!  Bad dog!
There are hundreds of peony blooms out there. They are so heavy that they're flopping over, so these came in to sit a spell in grandma's vase.
V came over for the first time since the quarantine.  It was good to have company again

View of the Backyard

This is from the fence looking back up at the rear of the house.  The white dogwood on the right and the pink dogwood at the far left were just beautiful.
And this is one of two flower beds at the back of the yard.  This one has the nicest birdfeeding post surrounded by perennials.  We planted a jet star tomato at the base of the post and hoping we can tie it up as it grows.  We've had four plus inches of rain in the last couple of days.
