Last Day of April 2009
I can't believe it's the last day of April! I got a package in the mail yesterday--two new hostas from Plant Delights, sent by my mama for my birthday--Earth Angel and First Frost. The plants were huge and healthy and beautiful! Planted them in the bed by the garage which is a good hosta home.
Warren and V stopped by. V brought brownies, probably the best she's ever made! And Warren was telling me that it was going to rain. So I went out and moved some more plants--I'm putting some of the fall plants all together in one bed, hoping for a good show this fall. It did rain and everything had a good drink.
Here are a couple of pictures from Webber's, a florist that PJ took me to when I was visiting in Michigan. Beautiful shop. I miss my peeps in Michigan!

Just Baked
Mama posted some pictures of Just Baked on her blog today. Here are a couple more shots. I wish I had one of those white buttercream ones right now!

Home Again
Flying isn't my favorite mode of transportation, but this hallway at Metro was pretty cool. The walls were covered with swirls of changing colors and new age music with dolphin sounds was playing. It was like walking through an underwater tunnel.

Book Review
Did you hear that our hard drive quit on us last week? It was tough without a computer. But I did get some work done in the house. I finished a couple of designs. And I finished The Help. Which is a terrific book. Really a great story. It will go down as one of my all time favorites. I loved Skeeter and Abilene and Minny and on and on.

Porch by Best Husband in the Whole World
Mark gave the porch a much-needed facelift. He works wonders with a paint brush. I love the black & white.

Sister Post from Kari & Kijsa
One of my favorite blogs to follow is http://kariandkijsa.blogspot.com/. And they live in Paducah! This picture and quote came from their blog post today. Love the quote, love the pictures, and they make me think about how much I love my sisters!
"She is your mirror, shining back at you with a world of possibilities. She is your witness, who sees you at your worst and best, and loves you anyway. She is your partner in crime, your midnight companion, someone who knows when you are smiling, even in the dark. She is your teacher, your defense attorney, your personal press agent, even your shrink..." ~Barbara Alpert
I was blessed with my sister PJ by birth. And along the way I've been blessed with my sisters Lori, Kathy, Laura, Nan, and Debbie. Hugs to you all!
