Book Review
I finished Columbine
. It kept me up nights. It is a story about the killers, of course, but also about the families, the media, the police. Okay, now on to Elizabeth Berg, who always opens her stories with a big tragedy and ends with survival and love.

Book Review
Finished Handle with Care
by Jodi Picoult. Great story, as usual. I try to make wild guesses as to how she might end her stories, but I'm always surprised.

Nest on a Bybee
I found this Bybee honey pot from my collecting days. I've always loved it, but it holds a LOT of honey. So now it holds a little nest.

Cutting For Stone
Just finished Cutting for Stone
by Abraham Verghese. It has a five-star rating on Amazon, and I have to agree with all those people who submitted reviews. It was a little hard to get into at first, but then it just took off and was a really really lovely story.

Final
This was the wreath I made for my final last night. I hung it on my office door. Made me happy every time I went thru the door today!

Friday Iris
Iris season is later this year. All this cool spring weather means we get to enjoy them longer. I always love late varieties.

Saturday Moon
Did you know that full moons have names? Me neither, until I noticed today's date on the cute Susan Branch calendar that PJ gave me. May's full moon is the Flower Moon and June's full moon is the Strawberry Moon. Now we know :-)

Thursday Violet
I spend a lot of time trying to get rid of all those violets. They take over everything. But just one can be sweet.

Doublefile Viburnum
PJ gave this shrub to me for my birthday four years ago via a Wayside gift certificate. It will get up to ten feet tall and wide. Gorgeous!

Last Day of April 2009
I can't believe it's the last day of April! I got a package in the mail yesterday--two new hostas from Plant Delights, sent by my mama for my birthday--Earth Angel and First Frost. The plants were huge and healthy and beautiful! Planted them in the bed by the garage which is a good hosta home.
Warren and V stopped by. V brought brownies, probably the best she's ever made! And Warren was telling me that it was going to rain. So I went out and moved some more plants--I'm putting some of the fall plants all together in one bed, hoping for a good show this fall. It did rain and everything had a good drink.
Here are a couple of pictures from Webber's, a florist that PJ took me to when I was visiting in Michigan. Beautiful shop. I miss my peeps in Michigan!

Just Baked
Mama posted some pictures of Just Baked on her blog today. Here are a couple more shots. I wish I had one of those white buttercream ones right now!
