January Pink Project

My first burlap rose, which turned out pretty good.  It needs a few pink petals added in with it though.  Something to soften and pink it up a bit. . .
It's a beautiful Saturday out there.  V and I are going shopping in a little bit--Hobby Lobby and maybe Jo-Ann Fabrics, where mama says they might have some really nice burlap. . .
One of these days we'll have real  iris and sweet pea blooms in the garden.  In the meantime, this is the January Pink Project.

That looks so pretty. You can keep it up for Valentine's Day. Sweetness.

Hi mama--you too can make burlap roses. just double over the ribbon or fabric and start rolling. I wired it, but you could also just run a needle all the way through the bottom a couple of times and tie it off.

I'm going to try another one with a couple of layers--wonder what this one would have been like with a layer of the pink tulle along with the burlap.

I can't wait to see how you prim them up. And PJ, could you make some of your flowers with burlap?? those would be cute too :)
